having fun

Face it. This planet has all the water it is ever going to have, and that water has been recycled continuously. Our soil is in rough shape, and humanity continues to pollute it. Fruits and vegetables are genetically modified (Do scientists know more than the wisdom that created the universe?) and pretty much, most of what we eat is either useless or bad for us. So, supplements are a good idea. I've tried lots and lots of supplements and only recommend ones that have the greatest benefit to you. Remember that much of what is available to you as a consumer is not of the best quality and may not be in a form your body can assimilate. I am able to get quality products and can help you discover which nutrients are best for you through muscle testing.

Supplements offered: Biotics, NET, New Chapter, Nordic Naturals, NutriWest, Ph-ion, & Pure Encapsulations are the companies I prefer, and use myself. I am always looking for the best products.

Cupboard Consultation

I will come to your home and go through your cupboard and fridge with you and show you which food items are destroying your health. Then, I will take you shopping and show you how to buy food that supports optimum health. I will also teach you how to not be fooled by "healthy" marketing gimmicks.

Exercise

We all need to exercise. Exercise with a good, healthy structure, and not with altered posture. You are stronger, safer, and more efficient when you have a healthy spine and nerve system. Use good form, keep your spine in line, try not to clench your jaw as you exert yourself, and don't slouch over on the cardio machines!

Resistance training (weight lifting, push-ups, resistance bands) increases bone density and muscle tone.

Yoga is also a great form of exercise. My favorite yoga videos are from Baron Baptiste www.baronbaptiste.com and Karen Voight. www.karenvoight.com There are many styles of yoga. Experiment with them to find the one that you enjoy. Pilates is also excellent for building core strength, which we all could use more of. Flattening the lumbar curve is not a good idea, because we are supposed to have a lumbar curve. Look for Pilates and Yoga instructors who do not try to eliminate your lumbar curve.

The gym is not the only place to get exercise. You can go hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, swimming, play team sports or tennis: whatever you enjoy. Walking the dog, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking at the back of the lot, and even doing housework can all be good forms of exercise.
